About Luis Fraga

  • Native of Corpus Christi, TX and Harvard graduate
  • Professor of Transformative Latino Leadership; Director, Institute for Latino Studies and Fellow at the Institute for Educational Initiatives at the University of Notre Dame.
  • Primary interests are in American politics specializing in the politics of race and ethnicity, Latino politics, immigration policy, education politics, voting rights policy, and urban politics.
  • 2011 President Barack Obama appointed him to the President’s Advisory Commission on Educational Excellence for Hispanics
