The Emmanuel Summer Institute in the Eastern Mediterranean is accepting applications for Summer 2025! The application can be found at this link: https://cof.studioabroad.com/?go=Crete. You can log in to the website using your Emmanuel credentials and begin the application. We will follow up with you throughout the application process and registration will take place starting in late-March.

The program is 12 credits, including two Emmanuel Political Science courses (POLSC2417 and POLSC2419) and a free elective Greek language course. Dr. Vamvakas will be leading the program and can answer any questions you have regarding the coursework or travel itinerary.
The program is based in Crete, Greece with excursions to Malta and Cyprus. The program dates are June 14 – July 12, 2025. The information sessions will share details on academics, daily itinerary while in Crete, details on the excursions to Cyprus and Malta, and the application/registration process for the program.
The program fee is estimated at $7,850 and will be finalized in February 2025. The program fee includes: accommodations, 8 credits of Emmanuel tuition, Greek language course, most meals, excursions/activities on the itinerary, and travel health insurance. Please note that this program fee does NOT include airfare. Students will be responsible for arranging their own airfare and transportation to Crete.

Students who receive the Federal Pell Grant as part of their financial aid award are highly encouraged to apply for the Gilman Scholarship, which awards up to $5,000 to study abroad! The Gilman application is due on March 6, 2025 and more information can be found here: https://www.gilmanscholarship.org/
