The mission of the Emmanuel College Model United Nations Club is to participate in a competitive heuristic exercise applying practical, ethical, and moral precepts of international relations in order to innovatively negotiate conflict. To be an effective peace builder and negotiator one has to possess an exceptional working knowledge of the issues at hand, well-developed interpersonal skills, and a mastery of the processes of parliamentary debate. In achieving this mission, members of ECMUNC acquire these fundamental skills applicable to all areas of study; ultimately becoming well-rounded, prescient members of a rapidly globalizing society.
