The mission of the Emmanuel College Model United Nations Club is to participate in a competitive, enriching exercise applying practical, ethical, and moral precepts of international relations to effectively and innovatively negotiate conflict. To be an effective peacebuilder and negotiator one has to possess an exceptional working knowledge of the issues at hand, well-developed interpersonal skills, and a mastery of the processes of parliamentary debate. In achieving this mission, members of ECMUN acquire these fundamental skills applicable to all areas of study; ultimately becoming well-rounded members of a rapidly globalizing society.
