David McCullough III on American Exchange Project 

Overview: David McCullough III discusses the work of his Boston-based nonprofit, “The American Exchange Project.” To connect our divided country, the American Exchange Project sends high school seniors on a free, week-long trip to a hometown very different from their own. This past year, AEP partnered with 53 schools in 31 states to try to bridge divides and build understanding between students of very different socioeconomic backgrounds through shared experiences.  Student participants have called it “the best experience of my life” and has been featured in the Boston Globe, NPR, CBS, and the BBC.  Learn more about this innovative project, and even how you could get your own hometown involved.
