About this Event
We are excited to announce the July/August Book Club selection is Home Waters, a romance with an environmental twist written by Emmanuel alumna Elizabeth Devlin (McIntyre) ’72. Home Waters is a finalist for two National Excellence in Romance Fiction Awards (Best First Book and Best Mainstream Romance).
Home Waters is the first in the Narragansett Bay series set off the coast of Rhode Island. It’s the story of world-renowned oceanographer Becket Fallon and non-profit expert Lainey Carmichael. Linked by 3-year-old twin girls, Becket and Lainey fight invasive toxic algae and their own demons in an unusual mix of family, romance, and environmental suspense. 25% of royalties go to Save the Bay.
Save the Date: Elizabeth will be joining us for an online book discussion on Wednesday, August 25th at 6:30 p.m., and all are invited to join! Elizabeth will lead a discussion of Home Waters and her journey to becoming a published author.
