Stacy Thomas-Vickory: Bending the Horizon

Join us for an opening and Gallery talk with artist Stacy Thomas-Vickory. The exhibit will be up through April 3rd.

"A lifetime of living in cities and suburbs has altered my relationship with nature. Most of my interaction with the natural world is divided into segments of  yards, groomed  parks, planters, and tidy rows of trees on streets. I am very aware that the grand vistas of traditional landscape  are not readily available to me. Bending the Horizon  seeks to find nature's beauty in the ordinary moments of developed spaces. In these drawings and prints, I have done away with most of the reference to space by allowing the white of the paper to create the border, the boundary line, in order to capture the simplest of natural forms."
