Mass of the Holy Spirit

Mass of the Holy Spirit

Celebrant: Fr. John Spencer, S.J., College Chaplain and Vice President of Mission and Ministry
The Mass of the Holy Spirit marks the opening of the academic year. This longstanding tradition of Catholic Colleges and universities dates back to 16th century Europe and allows the entire College community to come together and celebrate Emmanuel’s mission and Catholic identity. The Mass serves as a means of invoking the Holy Spirit for guidance and wisdom throughout the academic year.

This is an extremely disruptive piece of the church. I trust that the endowment of tongues is simply that..a blessing.
It is given when fundamental for individuals to accept. I don't accept everybody gets this blessing, and I don't trust that on the off chance that you've never talked in tongues you've never gotten the Holy Spirit.
