Wednesday, March 27th, 12:30 p.m.
Library Lawn (Fenway side)
A temporary labyrinth, a single non-branching path which leads to the center and back out, will be constructed on the lawn behind the library along The Fenway and available for anyone to use as a walking meditation opportunity anytime from Thursday, March 21st, through Thursday, April 4th.
Labyrinths have been used in many different religious ways by many people for over 3500 years. Some walk with a clear mind, purposely not thinking of anything and letting the path guide them and their thoughts. Some walk with a particular focus: a question, a problem, having in mind a person or situation. Walk alone. Walk with a friend or two. Walk in a group, allowing a minute or two between each other. Follow your own pace and honor the silence in the walk.
