Boston Strong Day
Please join the Campus Ministry, the Student Athlete Advisor Council, and Student Activities as we bring the community together to observe the one year anniversary of the Boston Marathon Bombings
Thank a Boston First Responder and Decorate a Luminary
Wednesday, April 9th-Friday, April 11th
Stop by to make a card for the Boston Police or Fire Departments, the MIT Police, or the MBTA Transit Police, and decorate a luminary bag to be illuminated at Tuesday's candlelight vigil.
Sunday, April 13th
Join SAAC at Roberto Clemente Field to commemorate the memory of those lost and injured in the bombings by running around the track.
Show You're Boston Strong
Tuesday, April 15th
Wear either your Boston Strong T-shirt (on sale now in Student Activities for $10), or your blue and yellow, to honor those affected by the bombings one year ago.
Join Father John in the Chapel for a special mass to honor those affected by the bombings
Ringing of the Bells
Please observe a moment of silence wherever you are as the bells sound at 2:49pm, the time that the bombs exploded near Copley Square
The student-decorated luminary bags have been moved indoors, along the aisle in the Chapel. Please stop by today, either during Mass or at another point in your day, to enjoy the Boston Marathon inspired student art that adorns these bags.
